I see a friend of mine has created a blog called "Winning at Celebrity Centre."

Makes sense. That’s what people DO at Celebrity Centre. 

It is an elegant spot, with beautiful gardens, even though right in the middle of Hollywood, and great food at their Rennaisance Restaurant.

But of course what makes it special is Scientology technology" Scientology technology.

In a recent posting he spoke about the Celebrity Centre Gala two years ago when David Miscavige
gave his now-famous speech called "This is Scientology."

On August 7, 2004, Mr. David Miscavige presented a global overview of the Scientology religion to over 2,000 leaders in the fields of the arts, entertainment, commerce and government.

What follows is an extract from this definitive address spanning the state of Earth today and the role of the Scientology religion in solving planetary decline — from social reform organizations to volunteer ministers, from grass-roots programs to Scientology Churches themselves.

In the months preceding this event Mr. Miscavige had personally attended and spoken at the Grand Openings of various Scientology churches — churches which are now set up to provide service to every sector of society with community programs that work.

Mr. Miscavige dedicated the new Scientology church in Johannesburg, South Africa and reminded those attending of L. Ron Hubbard’s dream of a new civilization sprining from the African continent.

Buffalo was another church Mr. Miscavige visited for their grand opening, where the mayor of the city personally attended and presented the church with a proclamation.

At the Church of Scientology of San Francisco grand opening Mr. Miscavige further emphasized the importance of reaching out to help the community with the tools L. Ron Hubbard developed to improve the quality of life.

I would just add that as a Scientologist I have never seen so much expansion for our religion in so brief a time as over the past 4 years.  And that’s important for everyone, Scientologist or not, because it means more and more effective programs to improve literacy, knock out crime, raise moral standards and help people overcome drug problems, improve relationships — in short just live better lives.
