Creativity and Freedom

There is a direct relationship between freedom and creativity.  I believe creativity is a human rights (I guess this fits in with freedom of speech and expression).

However I feel, too, that the artist is responsible for the effects he or she creates.

For example, in the 60s it was artists who popularized LSD and other drugs.

The romanticization of suicide by artists is probably one of the most destructive messages I can think of.

Then there is always that example - what of the man who "exercises his freedom of speech" by screaming "Fire!" in a crowded auditorium, resulting in a stampede that kills hundreds of people.

Last year "freedom of speech" of publishing cartoons that denigrated Mohammed was responsible for how many deaths through riots?  Hundreds at least. 

Where do we draw the line?
